Requirements: - At least 3 years of verifiable recent experience with a smart home integration firm - Experience using a specifier platform such as D-Tools, Portal, Specifi.io, etc. - Familiarity specifying at least one of the following brands: Control4, Crestron, Savant - Must reside or relocate in the Hampton Roads region or Williamsburg, VA - Comfortable with frequent regional travel between the Richmond region, Williamsburg, Hampton Roads & the Eastern Shore of VA. Position: Technician Apprentice/InternLocation: VA - Charlottesville/Richmond Position Type: Paid - Part TimeIf you are looking for a new and exciting career, Stereo Types is currently looking to bring on board an entry-level tech apprentice/intern who's eager to get immersed in the world of audio/video & smart technology integration. You'll be working alongside some of the best technicians in the business, where you will be given the opportunity to learn all aspects of the custom integration industry. Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you'll know: - Low-voltage wiring & terminations (including fiber optics) - Audio/video systems installation & troubleshooting - Basic network installation & troubleshooting - Basic home automation installation & troubleshooting Requirements: - Must be able to pass a criminal background check - Must have a fairly clean driving record - Must be able to take instructions well - Must be a good communicator - Must comply with a dress code that prohibits certain piercings & excessive or explicit body artCompensation: - $13 - $15 per hour to start- Potential for pay increaseevery 90 days for the 1st 12 months- Potential for to convert to move to a full time position upon successful completion of the apprentiship program
